Obituary of Vicki Lynne Snyder

SNYDER, Vicki Lynne - With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Vicki Lynne Snyder, 68, of Bridgewater, NS, on May 15, 2024, at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Lunenburg, she was the eldest daughter of the late Russell and Lillian (Berringer) Orchard. Vicki is survived by her loving husband, Brian Snyder, Bridgewater; daughter, Taylor Snyder, Halifax; son, Dustin (Nicky) Snyder, Pickering ON; brothers, Terry (Aldenia) Orchard, Ottawa, Michael Orchard, Yarmouth; sister, Peggy Theriault (Ken Forward), Bridgewater; grandchildren, Hayes Doyle, Cashel Snyder; godson, Nigel Theriault; nephews, Aaron Orchard, Thomas Orchard, Joshua Orchard and Jared Orchard.

She was a proud mother to Taylor and Dustin, and her greatest joy in life were her grandsons, Hayes and Cashel and her godson, Nigel.

Vicki maintained a successful career as a financial advisor for 37 years, and had enjoyed a few years of retirement.

The Caribbean and especially Cuba held a special place in her heart, which she visited with her husband almost every year for two decades. She had a passion for curling and tennis in her younger years and recently developed an interest in photography in her retirement years. She will be greatly missed and we will cherish the memories we have of her.

There will be no visitation or service by request. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorial donations in Vicki’s memory can be made to the Canadian Celiac Association, 1450 Meyerside Dr. Suite 503, Mississauga, ON, L5T 2N5 or charity of your choice.

Our gratitude goes out to the entire team of at South Shore Regional Hospital for the compassionate care and assistance they provided to Vicki throughout the years.
