Your mother was an extraordinary woman whose faith and vision have left an enduring legacy. A. Brenda shared that it was Ella who first reached out to Dr. David Mensah, inviting him to speak at the Women’s World Day of Prayer—an event that became a pivotal moment in the history of the Mensah Food and Orphanage Fund. The name, which she personally created, continues to reflect her heart and dedication.
Ella’s initiative and passion for service extended to coordinating with the local paper, raising awareness, and mobilizing support through local churches for the first shipment of food to Ghana. Her efforts were rooted in the love of Christ, and her work has touched countless lives. As the Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labour is not in vain.” Your mother’s labour in the Lord was indeed not in vain.
In this time of mourning, I pray that you find solace in the promise of Scripture. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” (John 11:25). May this assurance bring you peace, knowing that your mother’s faith has brought her into the eternal presence of the Lord she served so faithfully.
Please know that you are in our prayers. We are here to support you and your family as you remember and honour your mother’s remarkable life. Her legacy of faith and love will continue to inspire us all.
