Obituary of Marion Grace Lowe

LOWE, Marion Grace – Age 98, formerly of Springfield, Annapolis Co., passed away peacefully at the North Queens Nursing Home, Calendonia, on Monday, January 13, 2025, where she had been residing.

Marion was born in Fraxville, Lunenburg Co., on August 21, 1926, to Hewitt and Hazel (Hiltz) Bezanson.

She is survived by sons, Jerry, of Wentzell Lake, Carson of Springfield; daughter Jo-Ann of Springfield; grandchildren, Claire, Tammy, Cindy, Ryan, Darren, Matthew and Thomas; 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; sister, Beulah Barkhouse; brother, Arnold Bezanson.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Howard; son, Randy; sisters, Minnie and Annie; brother, Chesley; and daughters-in-law, Margaret and Carol.

The family would like to thank the North Queens Nursing Home staff for their kindness and compassion shown to our mother.

A public visitation for Marion will be held 7-9 p.m., Thursday, January 16, 2025 in Sweeny's Funeral Home, 4895 Highway 10, New Germany. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, January 17th, in Springfield Baptist Church, Springfield, NS, with Rev. Robert Gates officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Springfield Baptist Church, Springfield Cemetery, Springfield Fire Department, North Queens Nursing Home, or charity of choice. Private family interment following the service in the Springfield Baptist Cemetery. A reception will be held following the funeral service in the Springfield Fire Hall.
