Obituary of Bruce Arnold Robar

Bruce Arnold Robar 76 of Rhodes Corner, Lunenburg County, passed away Thursday January 1 2009 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater he was the son of the late Otto and Myrtle (Hiltz) Robar. Bruce is survived by his wife of 52 years Marion; daughters Cathy (Richard) Joudrey, New Canada; Peggy Lohnes (Reginald Jesso) Newfoundland; Linda (Kevin) Tanner, Midville Branch; son Peter (Cindy) Robar, Waterloo; brother Charles (Helen) Robar, Hammons Plains; grandchildren Christopher, Stephen, Andrea, Jonathan, Erin, Michael, Garrett, Shaylee and Jelena; great grandson Riley and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Frank. There will be no visitation by request. A funeral service will be held 2PM Monday 5 January in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, Rev. Paul Jensen officiating. Burial will follow in St. Matthews Cemetery, Upper LaHave. Memorials in Bruce’s memory may be made to the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater; The Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of choice.
