Althea Evelyn Silver 95, Oakhill, Lunenburg County, passed away January 1, 2009 in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater after a brief illness. Born November 4, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Jason and Mable (Wamboldt) Hubley. She is survived by her daughter, Dianne (Brian) Tipert, Oakhill; son, James (Ollie) Silver, Oakhill; grandsons, Matthew Tipert, Eastern Passage; Steven Tipert, Toronto, Ontario; step grandchildren, Jonathan Bagley, Brandon, Manitoba; Ann Mary Wescott, Chester; brother, Morton Hubley, Yarmouth; sister, Frances Pyke, Mahone Bay. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold M. Silver, Oakhill; brothers, Lawrence (Loretta) Hubley, Cookville; Dawson (Ruby) Hubley, Wileville. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in the Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater, Rev Paul Jensen officiating. No flowers or visitation by request.
