Obituary of David Murray Simpson

David Murray Simpson Of Stanley Section Lunenburg County Nova Scotia passed away suddenly at the age of 59 at his home in Stanley Section on Tuesday May 12, 2009. On this saddest of days for all who knew and loved him, he went searching for the peace and quiet that he so longed for. We pray to God above that he has found what he was looking for. David was born in Stanley Section on December 25 1949 at the home of his parents the late Claude and Daisy (nee Veinot) Simpson. David was always a wonderful worker and provider for his family. He started work at a young age in woods work, then went on as a carpenters helper and continued on to become a full fledged carpenter in his own right, and finally to become self employed in this profession. David has touched the lives of so many people through his life and work and he was known and well thought of far and wide. He will be so sorely missed by all that knew and loved him. Those of you who were fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to develop a special bond with David will recognize yourselves as individuals that he held near and dear to his heart. May God bless him and keep him in his care for ever more. David is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Hilda (nee Tufts); and one beloved son, Davey, Daughter in Law Cheryl (nee Fancy), and his two most precious little angels, his twin grandchildren Christopher and Jessica. Also surviving are sisters, Sandra Simpson in Alberta, Sheila Hubley (Ronnie) in Newcombville, Dale Deamond in Bridgewater, Donna Daniels (Allister) in Stanley Section, Susanna Conrad (Ira) in Upper Branch, Juanita Simpson in Stanley Section. David is survived by three brothers, Vonnie in Stanley Section, Danny (Donna) in Hemford and Sonny in Bridgewater. Survivors also include fifteen nephews and eight nieces. He was also pre-deceased by an infant brother Lemert, a nephew Tracy, a niece Edith and most recently by an older sister Diane Veinot. Visitation will be held Monday from 6 to 8pm in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 4895 Rte. 10, New Germany and from where a memorial service will be held 2pm Tuesday, Rev Larry Ehrhardt officiating. Burial will follow in the Epworth Cemetery. Flowers most welcome. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Nova Scotia Diabetic Association.
