Obituary of Victor Wesley Jordon

CWO (Ret'd) Victor Wesley Jordon, CD 72 of Barss Corner died at home on January 23 surrounded by his family, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was a veteran of the Canadian military having served 25 years on both coasts. He then worked with the Department of Fisheries. Upon retirement he refined his hobby of wood working into becoming a master cabinet maker. He made friends easily and was a generous and loving man who exemplified what family truly meant. He is survived by his wife of 49 yrs Mildred (Morash) and children James, Goshen; Cheryl (Terry) DeBaie, Northwest; Wesley (Sherry), Greenwood; grandchildren Jason, Shawn, Shane, Alicia and Brianna; great grandchild Paige; sister Debbie Fleming, Ottawa; brother Clair, Brookville Ontario along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Hilda (Frink) Jordan. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday 26 January in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, #4895 highway 10, New Germany, Rev. Dale Gary officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater or the Lunenburg County VON.
