Obituary of Clissie Bernice Ringer

Clissie Bernice Ringer 94, of Bridgewater passed away Monday 18 July 2011 in Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater. Born in Baccaro, Shelburne County, she was the eldest daughter of the late Ernest and Freda (Bower) Crowell. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She married Percy Ringer in 1936, lived in Shelburne five years when she and her husband moved to Bridgewater where he worked with C. N. Railway for 33 years when he retired due to ill health. Clissie is survived by her daughters Betty (Roy) Whynot, Lower Branch; Judy (Walter) Ramey, Hebbville; Glenda (Stanley) Wentzell, Bridgewater; grand children Kathy, Danny, Bonnie, Timothy, Sharon, Vicki, Annette, Darryl, Richard, Kelly; great grandchildren Susan, Kenny, Jonathon, Mandi, Christopher, Dana, Robyn, Alexis, Andrew, Shana, Christine, Timothy, Emily, Liam, Ethan, Morgan, William, Kristian; great-great grandchildren Patrick, Bailey, Hayzen, Joseph, Chloe, Silas, Sydne, Xavier, Kade, Gavin; brothers Allen (Evelyn) Crowell, Baccaro; Terry (Edna) Crowell, Atwoods Brook. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years Percy; daughter Sherri Lynn; sister Shirley Richardson; brothers Ralph, Harvey, Melvin, Samuel; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Visitation will be held 1:00 to 2:00 P.M., Thursday July 21 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater from where the funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M., Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Private family burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only, please.
