Obituary of Kathleen Pearl DeLong
DELONG, Kathleen "Kay" Pearl (Carver) – born October 28, 1924, 95, of New Germany, died 24 March, 2020 in Rosedale Home for Special Care, New Germany. Born in Milton, she was the daughter of the late Henry Benjamin Carver and Mariah (Townsend) Carver. Surviving are her sons, Roger (Carla), New Germany and David (Joanne), Quebec, QC; daughter-in-law, Judy (Bruhm) Carver, Kitimat, BC; grandchildren, David, Mission, BC; Sara, Barrie, ON; Yolaine (Guillaume), Quebec, QC; Carley, Nanaimo, BC; Jason (Emilee) Amherst; Jessica (Brad), Bedford; Jamie-lea (Terry), Bridgewater and Justin (Selina), Amherst; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her sister Beatrice Gallant (Liverpool) and brother Douglas (Hammonds Plains). She was predeceased by husband Arlee DeLong, son Robert, brothers Benjamin, Henry, Samuel, Jim and Maurice, sisters Marie, Rosetta, Dolly, Annie and Deanie. Many would remember her from her years of working at the Peter Boy Restaurant in Bridgewater.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeney’s Funeral Home, New Germany. Public graveside service will be held on Saturday 9 Oct. at 11 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, New Germany. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or New Germany & Area Lions Club
