Obituary of Roger Allan Godden

 

GODDEN, Roger Allan – Age 65, of Dayspring, Lunenburg Co., passed away at home with his family by his side on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Charles Albert and Dorothy May (Belsey) Godden.

Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Joan (Smith) Godden; his daughter, Tracy (Sean) Hemus, Wooler, Ont.; grandchildren, Colin Pink, Victoria Pink, Lena Hemus and Courtney Hemus; sisters, Lynda (David) Kligman, Alberta; Heather Godden, Dartmouth; brother, Jim Godden, Ottawa; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Michael in June 2020.

No visitation at the funeral home by request. A memorial service will be held and live-streamed, 2 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2021 from Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Private family interment will follow in Dayspring Cemetery, Dayspring. Rev. Willis Ott officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of charity of choice.
