John, I am so very sorry for the loss of your Leigh. He was without a doubt a kind hearted, gentle soul with a sharp wit. I remember many BC Tel Fitness group outings that developed into friendships and his was one of them. Leigh will always be a great guy and I will truly miss him.

Dear John. We are so devastated to hear about Leigh's passing. We remember the moment we first met you guys on the ship around South America. We were set up in a blind 'friendship date'! We decided that you were the nicest and most sincere and fun people we had ever met. We became good friends in an instant on that ship. I remember how rough the seas became and poor Leigh, along with most everyone aboard the ship, were in their cabins unable to come out due to sea sickness. And we remember how concerned you were for him. We saw the love. John it has been a blessing to get to know you and Leigh. And though we live on opposite sides of the country we will always see you as our cherished friend. We love you John

My deepest condolences to you John, and all of Leigh's family and friends. Leigh was such an inspiration to me in fitness and the enjoyment of it all, especially in spin class. I always looked forward to seeing Leigh, the twinkle in his eyes and laughing with him at his jokes. (as you mentioned previously Lynn, I will never hear "In the Air Tonight" again without thinking of Leigh and climbing the hills).

John - please know you have our condolences as you mourn the death of your beloved Leigh. I was blessed to have him enter my life through the HGMC. His quick, understated wit, sincere inquiry of the wellness of others, and playful 'I-will-if-you-will' spirit made my Thursday evenings all the brighter. I believe this man was a gift to so many who knew him. Our heartfelt condolences to John,
Leigh was an incredible kind soul who we came to know through the HGMC. Leigh did not judge. He did not let that human frailty so often found in ourselves define him as an individual. As a result people naturally gravitated towards him, and he and John developed many friendships. He was a joy to be around. The love that Leigh and John had was steadfast and there for all to see. They did not need to organise a date night because every day was date night for them. The last few years have been difficult, but every time Leigh opened his eyes he had the unending comfort of John’s presence and felt the beauty of his love. Leigh sleeps with angels now.
