Dear Marilyn, We are very sad to hear that just two weeks before our arrival in Nova Scotia you will no longer be able to meet us at Ridgewood Assisted Living. You were looking forward to seeing us again after many years. We met 43 years ago at Mush a Mush Lake. You and Wilf were like Canadian grandparents to our children Katharina, Michael, & Adrian, and to us your were like parents. When we come to visit Halifax and Bridgewater in two days, our thoughts will be with you all the time. My father Hermann, who visited you several times, too, is also thinking of you with deep sadness. You, Wilf, your pets and all the wonderful memories at the cottage on Lake Mush a Mush Lake will always remain deeply rooted in our hearts. Thank you for your love, we miss you, Love Dietmar and Ulrike

I was sorry to hear of Marilyn‘s passing. I will not be able to make the service but wanted to pass along my condolences. I’ve known Marilyn for years from The Lake where she and many of the old guard including my mom and dad were great friends. It is difficult to see this older generation dwindling. Marilyn always had time for a chat even as I was moving quickly out the road going here or there. We had quick chats along the road or while we all gathered at her dear friend Diane’s for a coffee and a catch up. She always had a kind and friendly smile and chat for my sons as well. I thought of her every time I would drive by after she sold her property at the lake and will continue to always think of it as Marilyn‘s home❤️ Sandra (Crouse) Hennigar

Very sad to hear of Marilyn's passing. I met Marilyn through her husband Wilf. Many years visiting the house, camp and attending conventions together. Marilyn was always upbeat and a kind hearted person. You always felt welcomed in Marilyn's house! Condolences to family and friends who were lucky to have known Marilyn.

Marilyn always had a big smile when we stop by for a visit. She loved giving us her homemade treats. She was kind and would never forget a friends birthday, her calendar was always marked. We miss her dearly. Our sincere condolences go out to her family.

I remember Marilyn and Carolyn from school in Bridgewater, both known as "Cookie". And I remember their farm where I (and of course many others) picked strawberries for their family business. Seeing news of her passing brought back many fond memories of that period of life.
